Went back to Iowa over the weekend to visit the place I spent 14 months of my life and aged three whole years. It was good to see the friends I knew, and though there are things I miss about that life, I know I made the right call by leaving.
It's funny how one doesn't see the purpose of the moment at the time. But later, upon reflection, we see teh bigger picture and realize that even our toughest times have served us well.
